Highlights:
> 82% of students in grade 6 scored proficient or higher in reading.
> 67% of the students at Monmouth Middle School met the federal proficiency target of 66% for reading.
> The gap between the proficiency levels of girls vs. boys in reading closed in grade 6.
> Economically disadvantaged students scored similar proficiency rates in reading as the total population.

Challenges:
> 56% of the students scored proficient in mathematics. The target was 60%.
> 34% fewer boys scored proficient in reading at grade 4 and 24% fewer boys scored proficient in reading at grade 5.
> Fewer students with disabilities scored proficient in reading and math than the total population.
